ABOUT HAMSON FARM

Hamson Farm is a family-run smallholding founded by Dr Neil Hamson and Anna Hamson, built on a shared commitment to producing honest, high-quality food in a way that respects both nature and animal welfare. What began as a modest one-acre plot is the foundation of a long-term vision: to grow a sustainable, independent farm that provides fresh, organic produce directly to the community.

Every aspect of the farm is carefully managed using natural, responsible methods. Our vegetables are grown without artificial chemicals, focusing instead on soil health, seasonal rhythms, and sustainable cultivation practices. Our chickens are raised free-range, with space to roam and live as naturally as possible, producing eggs and meat of exceptional quality.

We believe that farming should be transparent and accountable. That’s why we are committed to maintaining a direct relationship with our customers, offering produce that is not only fresh and nutritious, but also traceable back to the land it was grown on. By keeping our operation small and focused, we are able to prioritise quality, consistency, and care in everything we do.

Hamson Farm is not a large commercial enterprise driven by volume, but a growing farm built on purpose. With plans to expand beyond our initial acre into a larger smallholding, we aim to introduce a wider range of livestock and crops while staying true to our core values of sustainability, ethical farming, and long-term stewardship of the land.
At its heart, Hamson Farm is about more than just food; it is about building something lasting, responsible, and rooted in trust.

Every step we take is guided by the belief that good farming leads to good food, and that both should be accessible, transparent, and produced the right way.

At Hamson Farm, many of our growing methods are inspired by the traditional practices passed down through earlier generations, long before the widespread use of synthetic sprays and fertilisers. We focus on working with the land rather than against it, nurturing healthy soil, encouraging natural biodiversity, and allowing crops to grow in a balanced, chemical-free environment.

We also use a no-dig approach wherever possible, minimising soil disturbance to protect its natural structure and life. This method helps retain moisture, improve soil fertility over time, and produce strong, healthy crops, resulting in food that is not only better for the environment, but richer in quality and flavour.
